This course, formerly known as IOSH Managing Safely in Construction, is designed to give construction site managers the expertise they need to raise and maintain the standards of health and safety in their workplace and safeguard their workforce.
The course includes exploring the legal responsibilities of the managerial role and managing the environment and the safety risks within it. It’s designed to give a comprehensive understanding of the legal and environmental aspects of this responsible role and is suitable for those with relevant management experience or for managers who are overseeing large projects.
IOSH Supervisor Construction Safety
IOSH Supervisor Construction Safety is a one-day interactive training course, designed to provide construction site supervisors with all the information they need to take on responsibility for safeguarding their construction site and employees to comply with Health and Safety legislation.
The course consists of 7.5 hours of guided learning and a thirty-minute assessment, which includes training in supervisory responsibilities, hazard identification and risk assessment, with a focus on safety procedures and supervision. It is suitable for those with supervisory experience and supervisors managing daily site activities and aims to develop an understanding of the duties and requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act and the regulations that apply to construction sites as well as their practical implementations.
