About the Course
Course Duration: 1/2 Day
This half day power pallet truck training course is designed to provide the course participants with the appropriate knowledge to recognise the hazards and dangers of working with and using motorised pallet trucks.
Personnel who will be operating pallet trucks in the course of their work activities

On completion of this training participants will be able to:
- Appreciate the legislation and guidance applicable to use of pallet trucks
- Understand the safe movement principles
- Correctly load the truck
- Identify the hazards associated with pallet truck operations
- Use the pallet truck without endangering themselves and others
- List the steps to required for effective maintenance

- Operation principle of a Pallet Truck
- Pallet loading
- Avoiding overloading
- Battery care and general maintenance
- Practical exercise
Written test and practical test
- Be over the age of 16
- Be medically fit to operate machinery
- Personal Protective Equipment. (i.e. Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest.)
- Have a good level of English
- For on-site training a suitable area and the required equipment must be available for both practical and theory sessions to be carried out.
