Our General Approach to ensure compliance with the PSCS duties.
- Liaise with the PSDP and design team at pre – commencement stage.
- Develop a contractor competency assessment and co ordinate the assessment of contractor competence, if required by the client.
- Develop Project specific Health & Safety contractor expectations document for Tender stage.
- Complete a detailed site survey in advance of project commencement.
- Attend required meetings in relation to the project pre – commencement.
- Develop the construction stage safety plan for the project.
- Set up our safety management system in accordance with our ISO standards and project specific requirements.
Example of day to day duties
- Complete Specific Project Health & Safety induction.
- Daily & weekly contractor co ordination meetings.
Permitting of works on a daily basis. - Review of Method statement / Risk assessment for each element of works.
- Regular documented audits.
- Monitor day to day work activities, EG Health & Safety walkdowns, Promoting a positive safety culture on site, spend as much time as possible out on the site.

PROJECT PROFILE – Ringsend Dublin WWTP upgrade
The Ringsend WWTP Upgrade Project involves a programme of works to upgrade the plant, on a phased basis, to 2.4m PE wastewater treatment capacity. The Project involves multiple multi-year contracts running concurrently within a confined live working area. The most significant of these contracts include the following

PROJECT PROFILE – Roscommon N5 ADVANCED WORKS
N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramoge Advance Works Road Project ASM Acted as PSCS for the project. This included advance works for the 34 Km road project. The scope included demolition works, road works, utility diversions, hedge clearance, archaeology, and temporary fencing works.

PROJECT PROFILE – Kilkenny cheese plant
Kilkenny Cheese Plant. The project was a strategic partnership between Glanbia Ireland and Royal A-Ware to build a continental cheese facility in Belview, Co. Kilkenny. The site was a green field site adjacent to the existing Glanbia Ireland Infant Nutrition Plant. The new plant will make continental cheese for export, circa 50,000t per annum.

PROJECT PROFILE – Casein Wet & Dry Phase Project
The project involved the construction of a new Casein Plant at t Dairygold Castlefarm. The Project has 2 phases over a two-year period and includes building / refurbishment works of the existing facility to create space for a new wet & dry process system, including all associated mechanical, electrical and process installations.
